I have gained experience in pre&post operative care, in dealing with emergency
cases in different specialities, in performing minor surgical procedures
and in assisting in some major operative procedures.
Also, I have gained experience in the management of common diseases in adults
and children. I was involved in performing 1st aid measures particularly
injuries, burns, wounds and fractures.
Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (Cairo University)
It is subdivided into 6 departments which have 180 bed, receiving average
of 3000 deliveries each year, with a cesaerean section rate of 15%.
There is an average of 4000 gynecologic operations per year and outpatient
clinics including family planning clinic receive around 8000 new patients
every year.
The hospital is moderately equipped with updated ultrasound and imaging
department, well prepared laboratory and well equipped neonatal unit. I
had the opportunity to improve and widen my training and update my knowledge
under the supervision of my consultants.

The operative theater consists of 3 surgical tables, one for major operations,
one for minor procedures and the third for gynecological endoscopic surgery.

Experience In Obstetrics & Gynecology
I have started my training as a resident in the department of obstetrics
& gynecology in Cairo university.
I have gained wide experience in dealing with pregnant women, with their
medical disorders including PIH, heart disease, renal and hepatic disorder.
I have gained experience in normal and abnormal deliveries (low forceps)
I have also gain experience in antenatal fetal surveillance. I have performed
more than 200 cesarean sections with its various indications including managing
its various complications.
Regarding Gynecology: I have got great experience in diagnosing and management
of common gynecological problems ,infertility work up, and in providing
family planning services.
Besides, I have performed a lot of abdominal as well as vaginal operations.
Abdominal cases include abdominal hysterectomy for various indications,
myomectomy, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts. Vaginal operations include
repair of different types of prolapse and vaginal hysterectomy.
Furthermore, I have got advanced experience in diagnostic laparoscopy and
hysteroscopy. I have got a wide experience in obstetrical ultrasound and
gynecological ultrasound using : linear, sector, transvaginal probes.
Management Experience
I've got a lot of chances in preparation of ward rounds, arranging rotas
for S.H.O, writing reports for the administration, and performing some administrative
jobs.
Currently working as Consultant Gynecologist in Dar Al-Fouad Hospital: One
of the best hospitals in the Middle East
International activities:-
Beside conducting systematic reviews with international figures for the
Cochrane collaboration, I have many publications in major peer review journals.
